The Make-A-Wish Canada grants magical wishes to children, ages 3 through 17, who are living with life-threatening medical conditions. Granting a wish is a wonderful, powerful, and moving experience. The realization of a wish come true has a profound effect - not only on the child - but on the child's entire family, the volunteers, and all of the caring supporters who make the wish a reality. In fact, medical evidence suggests the experience helps to make ill children stronger... stronger to fight ongoing treatments. Each wish is a personal and unique as the child who wishes it. Whether if fulfills a fantasy, creates an adventure or includes a celebrity or sports hero, there is one common thread in the granting of each individual wish. That is; bringing hope and joy to a child with a life-threatening medical condition.
